Civil Litigation

Generally, Civil Litigation is a broad term which encompasses several areas of the law.  It involves two or more parties.  The objective is usually to recover damages, but for certain disputes, a party may seek specific performance (enforcement of the agreement).  The purpose of a civil suit is to make a party whole.  In some instances, equity may be invoked to assure that a party receives what a court determines to be just and fair. 

Civil Litigation is an adversarial process and requires detailed attention and thorough preparation both when initiating a suit, and when defending.  As such, it is important to hire attorneys that are willing to go the extra mile and work to bring you the best possible results.  While there is never a guarantee as to how any court or jury will rule with respect to a given matter, competent representation is a necessity.
